Founded in 1966, Placon is privately held with second generation leadership and over 500 employees. The company serves premier customers within the food, retail, and medical device markets.
BROOKDALE PLASTICS INC., headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota, is a leading provider of thin-gauge, high-tolerance blisters, secure clamshells, and sterile medical trays, with particular expertise in secure, sterile, and clear medical packaging. The company has 78 employees and operates from a modern 75,000-square-foot facility, which houses 3D printers, an in-house tooling department, and a Class 100,000 cleanroom.
The acquisition of Brookdale Plastics expands Placon’s capabilities and expertise within the medical and retail packaging markets while also adding new talent to the company.
