Robert is a trusted M&A advisor to clients ranging from privately held, middle-market companies to public and global organizations. He works alongside leadership teams to accelerate growth, strengthen competitive position, and build long-term value through targeted acquisition strategies. As Managing Director, he leads the firm and advises companies pursuing proactive M&A, with a particular focus on buyside and corporate development.

With more than two decades of experience, Robert has managed and negotiated a wide range of high-stakes transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and company sales. He partners with CEOs, executive teams, and boards to lead domestic and international acquisition searches across diverse industries.

Robert brings strong financial acumen, strategic insight, and governance expertise to Bridgewood’s clients. He is an NACD-certified director, qualified as a Financial Expert under SEC guidelines, and a Wisconsin-licensed CPA (inactive). Robert began his career as a senior associate in Deloitte’s Assurance & Business Advisory practice, gaining a deep foundation in financial analysis and strategic business issues.

Before founding Bridgewood, Robert served as a Principal with a predecessor M&A advisory firm, leading client engagements and transaction execution.

Robert is actively involved in Milwaukee’s M&A community. He is a board member of ACG-Wisconsin, regularly contributes thought leadership to business and industry publications, and has published whitepapers on mergers and acquisitions.
